Ron Funches will be joining us this week at our Downtown location from Wednesday August 7 until Saturday August 10. Funches is a very funny stand up comedian with a unique delivery and lovable demeanor…you just want to hug and squeeze him like a big stuffed bear. His easy going, inventive style sounds the way fresh chocolate chip cookies taste. Ron performs stand up all over the United States impressing audiences everywhere.
Most recently Ron was added to the upcoming NBC series Undateable, featured as LA Weekly’s Number One Comic to Watch in 2013, and ESQUIRE Magazine’s Best New Comedians List. He has performed live on TBS’s CONAN O’BRIEN SHOW, currently stars as “Roland” in Disney XD’s Crash & Bernstein, and is a writer for The Kroll Show on Comedy Central. Ron has also appeared on IFC’s PORTLANDIA. Ron resides in Southern California.
Mat Alano-Martin will be joining Funches this week. Mat comes to comedy from the world of rock and roll, where he spent 10 years touring North America as an Americana singer-songwriter, opening for a who’s who of indie rockers and roots revivalists and occasionally headlining his own smaller, less well attended shows. With a comedic style that bridges the alternative sensibilities of his indie-rock background with the more mainstream views of his rural and blue collar youth, Alano-Martin was selected to be the opening act on Ralphie May’s 2012 summer tour. Alano-Martin has also appeared at Gilda’s LaughFest, The World Series of Comedy, Comcast’s “Look Who’s Laughing Now” and the Bob & Tom Comedy All-Stars Competition. PS… he’s also from Bloomington! Check him out here!
This week, Crackers Comedy Clubs proudly present Tone Bell this week from Wednesday, July 24 – Saturday July 27. A little history…a whole lotta fun:
Tone Bell is best known for starring in the NBC multi-camera comedy “Whitney” as RJ, Alex’s (Chris D’Elia) old high school friend who has moved back to Chicago to bartend after a recent divorce. Born and raised in Atlanta, the stand-up comedian began his career in Dallas, where he was voted one of the Funniest Comics in Texas. Bell’s real-life brand of comedy has seen him succeed on both the comedy festival circuit as well as previously on NBC as the winner of the Stand Up For Diversity program. Tone recently was a guest on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and was also featured on the Spike TV special Eddie Murphy: One Night Only and E!’s “Love You Mean It”. He currently tours around the country performing at colleges and clubs. Tone recently starred in a single-camera comedy pilot for Fox and can be seen next on Comedy Central’s “Key and Peele”. Check out his stand up!
Okay… So, here’s the deal. Tone will be performing in Broad Ripple Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night. He will be at our DOWNTOWN location on Thursday night. So, if you purchase tickets for Tone on Thursday, you’ll be seeing him downtown. Let us know if you have any questions.
