Crackers Downtown is stoked to have comedian, Pat Dixon, with us from Wednesday, November 6 – Saturday, November 9 alongside Indy’s own, Jeff Oskay!
Audiences across the country have enjoyed Pat Dixon’s fluid stage manner, dry delivery and boldly creative material. Recognized as a top-notch writer and engaging performer, Dixon combines a conversational style with tight, punchy material, all fueled by a uniquely off-kilter comedic sensibility which makes him not only funny but fun to watch.
Pat has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and reached a new audience on CMT as host of their “Summer Games.” Pat has also appeared numerous times on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom radio show, and is also heard every friday by hundreds of thousands of loyal listeners who tune in for his call-in movie reviews, which can be heard on various stations across the U.S.
We can’t wait to welcome comedian, Chad Daniels, to our stage from Wednesday November 6 – Saturday November 9. Performing alongside will be feature act, Chris Hedegus and opener, Brent Terhune.
Here’s Chad Daniels’ (auto)bio:
This is more of an AutoBio than a Bio. The truth is most comedians write their own bios. I’m not judging. It’s a lot easier to brag about one’s own accomplishments while hiding behind third person. They are very well written. It seems comedians either 1. Have a Masters in English, or 2. A Thesaurus, and a lot of free time. I have neither.
I could write things like: Chad’s devilishly naughty nature shines through like comedy gold when he takes the stage. Chad’s disarming personality allows him to push boundaries only the truly funny attempt. His edgy style usually begins by splitting the room into two equally stunned fractions and then miraculously ends up with everyone leaving the club with a new favorite comedian. But that’s lame. Or I could write: Plenty of comics have jokes about marriage and children, but few speak about the experience with such uncompromising honesty. “Babies are miracles. Think about it.
When they’re born their feet are tiny. Yet, they can somehow step on all your hopes and dreams.” It’s this acidic material, cut with underlying sweetness and served up with a knowing smirk, that perfectly encapsulates Daniels’s take-no-prisoners style of comedy. Even though he was born and raised there he’s not interested in Minnesota Nice. With his onstage swagger and arsenal of incisive, uproarious material, he practically bullies the audience into loving him. Sounds awesome, but that’s not how I talk.
The truth is I’d rather you come see me to check it out for yourself. To get you to the club I’ll tell you this.
In 2004 I performed in the New Faces show at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. I’ve been on the Late Late show on CBS with Craig Kilbourn and Craig Ferguson. In 2006 I was on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham. I have three CDs. “Two Minutes for Stale Hacking” which was self-produced, “Busy Being Awesome” and my latest “You’re the Best” both on Stand-up! Records. I was named “Artist of the Year” in comedy by City Pages in 2009. I’ve been seen numerous times on “The Bob and Tom Television program”. I performed at the Aspen Comedy Festival for Rooftop Comedy and was given the award Comic’s Comic. I have a half hour special called Comedy Central Presents… Chad Daniels, which was voted #5 of all time in 2010. I am one of 13 comedians that have the honor to say they were on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. I was invited back to the Just for laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal to perform in The Masters Show. In 2012, I won the Gilda’s Laughfest Competition, performed on Conan’s new show, and released a free one hour special called “As Is” on the internet.
I’m funny. If you’re still not willing to come to a show you’re just being difficult.
Chad IS funny! Check out his comedy and then get your tickets here! He won’t disappoint!

Crackers Comedy Club Downtown is excited to have Rory Albanese gracing our stage from Wednesday Oct 23 – Saturday Oct 26. We’ll be there and so should you! Joining Rory will be comedian, Bill Gibson.
Rory Albanese is the former Executive Producer and Writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Having been a key part of The Daily Show for over a decade, Rory has won 9 Primetime Emmy Awards and is currently creating an original situation comedy for CBS.
Outside his television career Rory is an accomplished stand-up comedian; beyond touring the country as a headliner he has been a featured performer on John Oliver’s New York Comedy Show on Comedy Central and starred in his own Comedy Central half hour special in 2010. He spends his free time keeping the streets of New York City safe by employing the lost art of ‘Vigilante Justice’.
Crackers is very excited to bring you headliner, Michael Palascak! Beginning Wednesday Oct 23 – Saturday, Oct 26, Michael will be bringing down the house alongside Mark Matusof and Matt Bachus. And as always, all shows are 18 and up.
After moving around the Midwest during his early years, Michael Palascak (Pal-a-sack) ended up in Wabash, Indiana– “The First Electrically Lighted City in the World.” He spent his formative years there, and then, after college, moved to Chicago to pursue a career in comedy and living at home with his parents.
In the last three years, Michael debuted on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He also performed at The TBS LOL Lounge in the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Chicago. He also has performed at Caesar’s Palace in The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and was the winner of HBO’s Lucky 21 Stand-up Contest. He won the Chicago region of Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight and went on to make his Comedy Central debut on Live at Gotham Season 3. Last year, he was selected as one of 12 comedians in America and internationally to debut his half hour special on the inaugural season of Comedy Central’s The Half Hour.
Desiring to perform all forms of comedy, Michael took sketch and improv classes at The Second City in Chicago, iO, and Annoyance. In Chicago, Michael debuted his one-person sketch show–Pursuing Happiness: A bunch of scenes about people that moved out of their parents’ house, got a real job and got married. Performed by a guy who didn’t.
Michael connects to the youthful innocence in everyone as he relates his stories onstage. From becoming an uncle to going down water slides, Michael’s stories allow everyone to laugh a lot.
Michael made his television debut on WGN—The Bozo Show, Age 9, Large Boot Relay Team Blue (Runner-up).
Les and Jane Dunkleman were the proud parents of nine children….and then Brian was born. Due to a desire to have his parents one day address him by the correct name, Brian started doing stand up comedy in 1992. That year he won the “Buffalo’s Funniest New Comedian Contest”. Granted, the contest was voted on by the audience and he brought 50 people with him, but that’s not important….the point is, he never looked back.
Since then, he’s performed at HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, on the “Tonight Show”, NBC’s “Late Friday”, and TBS’s ”Very Funny at the Laugh Factory”.
He has had acting roles on several hit television shows such as “FRIENDS”, “3RD ROCK FROM the SUN”, “THAT 70’s SHOW”, “GHOST WHISPERER”, “NYPD BLUE”, and “LAS VEGAS”.
He was the voice of SANFORD on the MTV animated series “3 SOUTH”, as well as characters on “FAMILY GUY” and “PROUD FAMILY”.
He hosted the first season of “AMERICAN IDOL”, and knowing full well the show would never last, decided to continue to pursue his dream of breaking the record for pilots that never make the air.
He was also the host of the syndicated television show “AMERICAN IDOL REWIND” and is a regular host of “Family Feud Live” in Atlantic City for Fremantle Media. He recently guest starred on two episodes of the NBC hit show “MY NAME IS EARL”, which was then abruptly canceled.
He can be seen doing stand up regularly in Los Angeles at the Laugh Factory and Improv, as well as comedy clubs all over the country. He also just had a comedy special air on SHOWTIME. Check out his comedy here!
